Physiotherapy

PhysiotherapyWhat is Physiotherapy?
If you are a sports person with an injury, an over-enthusiastic gardener or have just got niggling pains – physiotherapy can help. Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession with a scientific base. The aim is to encourage and support the return to normal function following illness, surgery, disease or trauma. This is often described as 'rehabilitation'. So whether your problem is a sprained ankle, whiplash, back pain, a twisted knee or tennis elbow a physiotherapist will help you get better quicker.

At Physio Plus we are all experts in musculoskeletal assessment, and so are able to look at how your joints move, or your body works in order to determine what the underlying cause of your problem may be. We are then able to use various treatment techniques to correct the problem, and show you exercises to do at home to prevent recurrence.

By finding the root cause of a problem, rather than simply treating the symptoms we aim to give you a long term solution that means you can continue your activities without the need for ongoing treatment. Physiotherapy

Assessment involves watching how you move and then feeling the joints, muscles and tendons in the area for stiffness or pain. Following assessment we will recommend a plan for further treatment if it is required.
