At Physio Plus we offer more than standard physiotherapy

That’s because we’re not standard physiotherapists. Our years of experience and specialist skills mean we can provide accurate diagnosis, effective treatment and a speedy recovery.

What is Physiotherapy?

Whether you are a sportsperson with an injury, an over-enthusiastic gardener or have just got niggling pains – physiotherapy can help. Physiotherapy aims to encourage and support the return to normal function following illness, surgery, disease or trauma. This is often described as 'rehabilitation'. So, whether your problem is a sprained ankle, whiplash or back pain, our physiotherapist will aid your recovery. Our team specialises in musculoskeletal assessment, and so are able to look at how your joints move, or your body works in order to determine what the underlying cause of your problem may be. We use various treatment techniques to help correct the problem, and show you exercises to do at home that may prevent recurrence.

“As a Company Director, I cannot afford unnecessary time away from work and with my business commitments it is imperative that I am back up and running ASAP. I am 50+. I still live an active life participating in off piste snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking, tennis and golf. These sports always bring bumps and bruises.
I have seen many physios and specialist practitioners over the last 30 years years but I have yet to meet anyone with Helen’s knowledge and skill. I have been visiting Physio Plus for the last 15 years and travel a 70 mile round trip, but it is always worthwhile. I would recommend her to anyone.” Mr N. Davie, Alnwick
